At Xotic Locs Studio, every appointment is reserved specifically for you. Our policies are designed to protect your appointment time, maintain a professional salon experience, and ensure that every client receives the quality, care, and attention they deserve.
By booking an appointment with Xotic Locs Studio, you acknowledge and agree to the salon policies outlined below.
Booking & Deposit Policy
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required for ALL appointments at the time of booking.
Your appointment is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received. The deposit will be applied toward your service total.
Deposits are non-refundable and may not be transferred to another person. If an appointment is eligible to be rescheduled according to our
cancellation/rescheduling policy, the deposit may be transferred to the new appointment date.
No deposit = No confirmed appointment.
Installation Payment Policy
For all Loc Extension, MicroLoc, Instant Loc, Wick, and other extended installation services,
The remaining balance is due IN FULL upon arrival and BEFORE the installation service begins.
Installation services will not begin until the full remaining balance has been paid.
For designated installation services, the remaining balance may be required in cash. Clients will be notified of the accepted payment method prior to their appointment.
Once the installation service has begun, all payments are final and non-refundable.
Any additional services, hair, repairs, added length, added locs, or other upgrades not included in the original service agreement may result in additional charges, which will be discussed with the client before proceeding.
No installation will begin with an outstanding balance.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Appointments may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Your deposit may be transferred one time to a new appointment date when proper notice is provided.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of your deposit. A new 30% deposit will be required to book another appointment.
No-call/no-show appointments automatically forfeit the deposit and will require a new deposit to rebook.
Late Arrival Policy
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. A 15-minute grace period is permitted.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their appointment shortened, modified, or rescheduled depending on the service and the remaining time available.
If the appointment must be rescheduled due to late arrival, the original deposit will be forfeited and a new 30% deposit will be required to book another appointment.
Arriving late does not guarantee that the full scheduled service can be completed.
Client Preparation Policy
Clients are responsible for reviewing and following all preparation instructions provided for their scheduled service.
Unless otherwise stated in the service description, clients should arrive with their hair free of braids, twists, extensions, excessive product buildup, and other styles that must be removed before the scheduled service can begin.
If additional detangling, takedown, repair work, product removal, or other preparation is required and was not included in the original booking, an additional fee may apply.
If the condition of the hair or scalp prevents the scheduled service from being performed safely or properly, Xotic Locs Studio reserves the right to modify, postpone, or decline the service.
For installation appointments, clients must follow all preparation instructions provided during the consultation or prior to the appointment.
Additional time or services not included in the original booking may result in additional charges.
Consultation & Installation Approval Policy
A consultation may be required prior to booking certain services, including Loc Extensions, MicroLocs, Instant Locs, Wicks, major Loc Repairs, and corrective services.
During the consultation, we will evaluate the client’s hair and scalp, discuss the desired service, recommended method, estimated number of locs, length, hair requirements, pricing, and expected results.
Consultation pricing does not include the cost of the installation unless specifically stated.
Final installation pricing is based on the service agreed upon during the consultation. Requests to change the length, size, quantity, method, or scope of the service may result in additional charges and/or require the appointment to be rescheduled.
Xotic Locs Studio reserves the right to decline or modify a requested service when the stylist determines that the service may compromise the health or integrity of the client’s hair or scalp.
Installation clients will be required to review and sign a Service Consent & Acknowledgment before the installation begins.
Service Results & Maintenance Policy
Loc services and installations are customized to each client’s hair texture, density, length, condition, and desired result. Because every client’s hair is different, exact results may vary.
Photos used for inspiration are welcomed; however, an identical result cannot be guaranteed.
The longevity and appearance of your locs depend heavily on proper home care and recommended maintenance. Clients are responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided by Xotic Locs Studio.
Normal frizzing, budding, swelling, loosening, shrinkage, and changes in appearance may occur throughout the loc maturation process and are not considered defects in the service.
Any concerns regarding your service should be communicated to Xotic Locs Studio within 72 hours of your appointment so they can be evaluated.
Do not attempt to alter, remove, repair, color, cut, or have another stylist modify the service before contacting Xotic Locs Studio regarding a concern.
Policy Acknowledgment
By booking an appointment with Xotic Locs Studio and submitting the required deposit, you acknowledge that you have reviewed, understand, and agree to the salon policies stated above.
Installation clients will also be required to sign a separate Service Consent & Acknowledgment prior to the start of their installation service.
